Kegel Barn Leisure Game System Competition Game Menu
The Competition Game Menu consists of games that are played in Kegel Barn League play. These games are suitable for experienced bowlers who understand that there is more to skilled bowling than throwing the ball as hard as you can at the pins.
These games are more suitable for adults and older children.
These games have in game animations.
Full Frame
Each Player bowls 9 balls in this game. Player 1 bowls into a full set of 9 pins. After bowling, the number of fallen pins is recorded against player 1 for their first score. Player 2 then bowls into a full set of 9 pins with the number of fallen pins being recorded as their first score. This continues until each player has bowled 9 times. Try to get the highest Score you can. The most Pins Wins.
Clean Up
Each player bowls 9 balls in this game. Player 1 bowls at a full set of pins. Any pins that the bowler knocks down are removed from the rack for the subsequent bowler. Player 2, Player 3 etc then bowl in sequence at the remaining pins until all the remaining pins have been “cleaned up”. Each pin that is knocked down is added to the team total. This continues until the team has bowled all available balls for the game. The aim is to Clean Up as many times as you can.
Up and Down
Each Player bowls up to eight balls in this game. The game is played for 4 rounds with each player bowling two consecutive balls to calculate their score for the round. The player score is the difference between the number of pins knocked down by the two balls they bowled for that round. If one of the player’s balls scores a zero through being a gutter ball, missing the pins or a foul then a zero is recorded for that round.
Ladder
Each player bowls 9 balls in this game. The aim of the game is to knock down a different number of pins with each ball bowled, or put a different way to get as many different numbers as possible with the allowed 9 balls. Each number counts only once. To obtain a score there must be a minimum of three consecutive numbers recorded. Eg: 5-6-7 The aim is to get the highest score possible by connecting many number.
Stina
Each player bowls 9 balls in this game. Only the three centre pins (1, 5 and 9) are set in this game and the aim is to knock as many of the pins down as possible.
Each bowler takes turns to bowl one ball at the pins until all 9 rounds are over. If a player knocks down 1 pin they score 1.
If a player knocks down 2 pins they score 3.
If a player knocks down 3 pins they score 6.
Pyramid
Each player has a maximum of 7 balls in this game.
Each player bowls at a full set of 9 pins. After bowling the number of fallen pins is recorded against player 1 for their first score.
The player’s progressive score must be greater than or equal to the target for that round or they are eliminated.
The targets are 2,5,9,14,20,27, and 35. The bowler needs to average 5 per ball to complete the game.
Winner Takes All
This Game is played between two lanes with each lane attempting to “Out Do” the other lane by Bowling a higher score.
Each player on each team, plays each player on the opposing team once, with alternating lanes bowling first for each round.
The game is scored by the highest scoring bowler retaining their score as well as the opposing team’s bowlers lesser score.
ie: if the player on lane1 bowls a 7, and then the player on lane 2 bowls a 3, then the player on lane 1 scores a total of 10 and the player on lane 2 scores 0.
If any player bowls a gutter, then the opposing player’s score is doubled. But if both players bowl a gutter, then both player’s score will be 0.
The team with the highest score at the end of the game, wins.
50 50
This is primarily played as a doubles competition. The individual player totals are really secondary to the team total, however this can be played for fun by individuals or groups of any size.
50 Balls are played into the Full Frame.
Players turns bowling until the 50 balls are finished. After that 50 balls are bowled as Clean Up. This gives a total score for the 100 balls.
